Season One Wrap Up: Highlights & Bloopers
Today we had an opportunity to film our Season One Wrap Up: Highlights & Bloopers and discuss our plans for 2015. We take a look back over the 27 videos that cover the matches, places, gear, people, and shooting adventures we had over the past seven months during season one.
We also discuss some of the things you can look forward to in season two. We’ve searched the cutting room floor to bring you a small collection of the out-takes and bloopers that make creating our YouTube videos so much fun. This will mark our 28th episode since we released our first video in July of 2014. We’re having fun and we’re into this for the long run, but most important we’re learning a lot as we share our journey and interact with our audience.
Like many ventures, we started from and are still working from a kitchen table. However, we have taken steps to up our game and this includes new video, lighting and sound equipment as well as coordinated studio wear. The support and positive reaction from our audience makes these investments worth while.
While we have an outline for each video, we want to maintain spontaneity and a conversational style so we try to avoid over scripting. Of course the first thing we noticed is all the “ums” “ahs” and “you knows” but we’ll work on that and get better as time goes on. Oh, and if you want to motivate yourself to lose weight, just take a video of yourself.
For those of you who enjoy video equipment as much as you do shooting equipment, here are the specs for our main camera:
